Hermes Skills Hub: Skill को जाँचें, इंस्टॉल करें, सक्रिय करें और सत्यापित करें

Hermes Skill मांग पर लोड होने वाली कार्य-पद्धति है; इसे हर बातचीत के context में स्थायी रूप से रखने की जरूरत नहीं होती। समस्या अक्सर नाम मिलने के बाद शुरू होती है: इंस्टॉल से पहले सामग्री नहीं पढ़ी जाती, security report नजरअंदाज हो जाती है, पुरानी session चलती रहती है, या बिना जाँच योग्य परिणाम के natural-language trigger पर भरोसा किया जाता है।

यह मार्गदर्शिका आधिकारिक optional Skill ascii-art का उपयोग करती है। पहला acceptance test करने के लिए यह उपयोगी है, क्योंकि output दिखाई देता है, text file में सहेजा जा सकता है और छोटे script से मापा जा सकता है। Commands और behavior को 10 अक्टूबर 2026 को खोले गए आधिकारिक Hermes pages से मिलाया गया है। Version के अनुसार output बदल सकता है; अपने Hermes द्वारा लौटाए गए identifier और scan report को प्राथमिक मानें।

पूरा workflow

1. तैयारी, search और inspect

आपके पास काम करता Hermes और hermes skills ... चलाने वाला terminal होना चाहिए। पहली बार ऐसा official Skill चुनें जिसे account, secret या external system में write permission न चाहिए।

यदि ascii-art पहले से list में है, उसे Hub install मानकर न चलें और केवल उदाहरण के लिए overwrite न करें। दिखाई गई source और effective path जाँचें; project की .hermes/skills/ या .agents/skills/ वाली same-name copy global copy पर precedence ले सकती है। केवल Hub में दर्ज और unshadowed copy पर बाद का audit वास्तविक /ascii-art content को cover करता है। अन्यथा active copy की पूरी files पढ़ें या पूरे Hub install/audit अभ्यास के लिए दूसरा official optional Skill चुनें। Search result से पूरा identifier कॉपी करें; current path official/creative/ascii-art है, पर आपके result का source/version निर्णायक है।

inspect read-only है, लेकिन full-file review नहीं: official implementation SKILL.md की केवल पहली 50 lines दिखाती है। Install से पहले actual source और version से पूरा SKILL.md तथा referenced support files खोलें। इस guide के fixed revision की ASCII Art Skill पूरी file 322 lines की है; network calls, sudo installation और custom fallback preview के बाद आते हैं। Source, supported platforms, dependencies, network access, files/commands और configuration/credentials—इन छह में से कुछ भी पूरी files से स्पष्ट न हो तो install रोक दें। नीचे का test package installation और network रोकता है और direct custom fallback माँगता है।

2. Security scan पढ़कर इंस्टॉल करें

Official implementation पहले bundle को quarantine में download करती है और scanner चलाती है। Scan policy अनुमति दे तो सामान्य interactive CLI local Skills directory में copy करने से पहले confirmation माँगती है। Findings पढ़कर copy से पहले रुकने का निर्णय चाहिए तो यही route उपयोग करें।

केवल success रंग न देखें: verdict, हर finding की file और risk type पढ़ें और behavior को Skill के घोषित काम से मिलाएँ। High-risk या unexplained action पर रुकें; force सामान्य समाधान नहीं है। Scan installation gate है, सभी external dependencies, service policies या output quality की guarantee नहीं।

Current chat में install करके तुरंत लागू करने के लिए:

/skills install official/creative/ascii-art --now

/skills install chat action installer को skip_confirm=True के साथ चलाती है: command टाइप करना implicit consent है। Allowed scan के बाद findings पढ़कर copy रोकने का अलग human pause नहीं मिलता। इसलिए पहली review के लिए interactive CLI और उसके बाद नई session उपयोग करें।

--now केवल chat command का cache option है; यह current Skills prompt cache rebuild करता है, confirmation step नहीं जोड़ता। Exact source/version पहले से review और accepted हो तभी उपयोग करें; इसे terminal के hermes skills install में न जोड़ें।

3. सही session में सक्रिय और verify करें

सामान्य CLI installation को नई session में जाँचना सबसे सुरक्षित है। Install से पहले खुली conversation पुराना Skills index रख सकती है, भले files ~/.hermes/skills/ में आ गई हों। नई session या /reset उपयोग करें; current session के लिए --now केवल complete review और chat के implicit consent boundary को स्वीकार करने के बाद चुनें।

List discovery के साथ effective source बताती है। audit केवल HubLockFile में दर्ज Hub installs को scan करता है; कोई ऐसी install न हो तो No hub-installed skills to audit, और non-Hub name पर is not a hub-installed skill आता है। इसे corruption या scan complete होने का प्रमाण न मानें। यदि project same-name copy Hub copy को shadow करती है, audit lock-file path scan करता है जबकि /ascii-art project copy चलाता है; active path की पूरी files पढ़ें, या unshadowed official Skill से flow पूरा करें। Applicable Hub audit में missing files, invalid path या risky findings हों तो task से पहले ठीक करें।

यदि Hermes command पहचानकर task माँगता है, session registration काम कर रही है। पहली acceptance के लिए explicit call natural-language routing की अनिश्चितता हटाता है।

4. वास्तविक task चलाएँ, output सहेजें और स्वीकार करें

उसी session में भेजें:

/ascii-art Custom generation fallback का उपयोग करके केवल ASCII characters से HERMES लिखने वाला banner बनाएँ। कोई package install न करें और network service का उपयोग न करें। ठीक एक fenced text block लौटाएँ, जिसकी चौड़ाई अधिकतम 60 characters और ऊँचाई अधिकतम 15 lines हो।

यह synchronous task है: कोई job ID या polling नहीं है। उसी turn का उत्तर पूरा होने दें और fenced block के भीतर की सामग्री को hermes-ascii.txt में सहेजें।

इस validation code को validate_ascii.py के रूप में सहेजें:

फिर चलाएँ:

Task तभी pass है जब /ascii-art पहचाना जाए, HERMES पढ़ा जा सके, file खाली न हो, script ascii_only: True सहित exit code 0 दे, और package, network या credential न माँगा गया हो। Letter shape बदल सकती है; measurable contract नहीं।

ASCII check अनिवार्य है: official custom fallback Unicode line और block characters भी देता है, इसलिए केवल height, width और readability जाँचने पर HERMES ░ जैसा output गलत तरह से pass हो सकता है। ascii_only false हो तो उसी prompt में सभी non-ASCII characters हटाने को कहें, file overwrite करें और validator फिर चलाएँ।

5. लक्षण के अनुसार troubleshooting

समान नाम पर अलग content	Effective path project copy हो सकती है, जबकि audit ने Hub lock path scan किया	.hermes/skills/ और .agents/skills/ में active copy जाँचें और उसकी पूरी files पढ़ें; shadowed Hub audit को /ascii-art content का प्रमाण न मानें

हर बार केवल एक variable बदलें और वही HERMES task चलाएँ। इससे discovery, installation, session loading, routing और execution अलग-अलग पहचाने जा सकते हैं।

6. Generic ranking नहीं, task के आधार पर चुनें

देखें कि Skill मौजूदा काम पूरा करता है या नहीं, inspect permissions और dependencies साफ करता है या नहीं, source traceable है या नहीं, success signal repeat किया जा सकता है या नहीं, और failure पर external write से पहले सुरक्षित रूप से रुक सकता है या नहीं। शुरुआत में छोटा input, कम permissions और savable output बेहतर हैं।

अंतिम checklist

• Search ने पूरा identifier दिया।
• inspect को truncated preview माना और exact source/version की पूरी SKILL.md व support files पढ़ीं।
• Copy से पहले निर्णय चाहिए था तो interactive CLI में verdict/findings पढ़े।
• नई session उपयोग हुई; chat --now केवल full review और no-post-scan-confirmation boundary स्वीकार करके चला।
• hermes skills list से active source जाँचा; audit केवल Hub-registered, unshadowed install पर चला।
• /ascii-art explicit चला, hermes-ascii.txt सहेजी गई और size, ASCII-only तथा readability checks पास हुए।
• हर failure को एक layer से जोड़ा और उसी task से retest किया गया।

अब केवल folder का होना साबित नहीं हुआ; Skill खोजा गया, समझा गया, installation gate से गुजरा, session में लोड हुआ, task चला और saved result से validate हुआ।
